Holland Dike.
Memorial to 101st Airborne Easy Company at site where 35 paratroopers overwhelmed 300 SS troops thanks to Lieutenant Winters' leadership and the element of surprise.
Site depicted in Band of Brothers "Crossroads" episode where Winters climbs to top of dike, confronts a lone SS trooper in the field, shoots and kills him, and then engages the remaining SS troops farther away in the field.
Dike next to field in last photo and depicted in Band of Brothers where another 150 SS troops poured over dike after Easy Company attacked the initial unit of 150 SS troops.
