This is the temporary Flight 93 Memorial in Shanksville, PA. It honors the victims of Flight 93 which crashed at this site as part of the 9/11 terrorist plot. A permanent memorial is being designed and will be built when enough funds are raised.

attorneyjay > Nobody but family of the victims are allowed any closer to the actual crash site than this. It is about 1000 feet to the site from here. The flag in the middle part of the picture is right in front of where Flight 93 crashed.

The wall in the background is covered with various tokens of remembrance to honor the victims.
